An Introduction to Fox – Workshop

November 10 @ 2:30 pm - 11:59 pm

£25 – £60

You asked, we listened..

So now, after four years of preparation, we are bringing you an Introduction to Fox workshop!

For four years now we have been building links with our Swedish friends to share our love of close-hold dancing.  We have been growing and nurturing a Blues/Fox exchange that has involved us going to Sweden to teach Blues and to learn Fox and our Swedish friends joining us at some of our residential weekends too.

After going to Sweden in the summer to help train Fox instructors to teach Blues, we are now very excited to be sharing the Fox dance here in the UK!

We’re starting our program with a workshop being taught by our fabulous friends Tobias and Catrin – and will be following this up with some weekly classes in an Access to Fox course, being taught by Sara.

The Introduction to Fox course will be aimed at existing dancers who are comfortable with dancing in close-hold, and who are looking to broaden their dance horizons and introduce aspects of a Foxtrot derived dance.  So whether you dance Modern Blues, Tango or other dances, this would be suitable for you.

Fox is a fresh, modern close-hold dance that has grown from it’s roots based in Foxtrot to become a fluid, stylish and connected dance that fits beautifully with the music we play at our Modern Blues events.

Tobias and Catrin are coming over from Sweden especially for this event and will introduce us to the basics of this beautiful dance, including the timing, the holds, the footwork and the joy…

And in the evening we will hold a freestyle event where we will play music that encourages Blues, Tango and new Fox dancers to come together and share their love of dance.

We are sure this workshop will be very popular, so it is important that you book in advance.
Tickets are available now – find them by scrolling to the bottom of the page.

Please note that this event will not be held at our usual venue, but instead will be at Jubilee Hall in St Neots – going back to our roots!

Cost – £25 per person or £30 to include freestyle.
Freestyle only £10
