|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 8:00 pm on day Second of the month, repeating until 12th December 2020

One event on 15th November 2019 at 8:00 pm

We were all very upset when we lost our Blissfully venue in Sandy – but we’re very happy to announce that we have found a new home!  We’re going back to The Windmill near Cambridge!!  I realise this will make it harder for some to attend, and easier for others – but fingers crossed, you’ll still be able to join us.

The timings are the same and we’ll still be operating the Special List and of course, we’ll still be taking the Survivor’s Photo at 2.30am!  The biggest difference is that this will be a Bring your Own alcohol event as there is no bar.  We’ll obviously supply water and another bonus – we’ll be able to supply complementary tea/coffee and biscuits at midnight!

Don’t forget to get yourself on the Special List to claim reduced price entry by clicking Going. (£12)
And if you arrive before 9pm then you get yourself onto the EXTRA Special List and you get over 7 hours of beautifully Blissful freestyle for only £10!!

Blissfully Blues – a place where we can dance long and late, so there is time in the evening to make new friends and enjoy each others company.

Blissfully Blues – a place where we can nurture new DJ talent as well as indulge in the delights of our long-standing and gifted regulars.
It is a place where everyone is welcomed and valued. It is special. If you haven’t been yet, perhaps this will be the time that you join us…
Blissfully Blues is a late-night freestyle event aimed at dancers who love to immerse themselves into the very heart of the music they dance to, and allow that delicious state of Blues-Bliss to wash over them…
It’s also for those dancers who are taking their first steps away from Modern Jive freestyles and are ready to test the water at a Blues event. The music will be a merger of all that is fresh ‘n’ funky in modern Blues right through to the more traditional elements you’d expect to hear in a Blues-room – and everything in between.

The Windmill is a venue that we have very fond memories of – having held quite a few all-nighters there in the past.  The venue itself is a converted barn with a lovely floor, set in beautiful countryside.

The Windmill is half way between Madingley and Coton to the west of Cambridge – just off the A428 and the M11.
The postcode for The Windmill is CB23 7PH – this will actually take you to near a roundabout on the A1303 just off the A428. Continue down the hill on the A1303 past the American cemetery on your left. The Windmill is the next on the left (with a big windmill in the grounds) on the left hand side of the road.

Spread the word, tell your friends – See you there!
