Please take note of the cancellation policy for Blues Nites events: we want to be as flexible and helpful as possible, while still trying to plan events effectively with other dancers, teachers and with the venues we use, and to minimize costs for our customers.
We aim to gender balance all workshops as much as possible. A late cancellation causes problems both for us as event organisers and for other attendees affected by the gender imbalance, since our workshop events tend to sell out. Whenever possible you should aim to transfer/sell your gender-specific space if you are unable to attend and notify Blues Nites of the change by email. There is a full refund for cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the event, less a 10% handling charge.
Where we offer a course over a number of weeks, the price is for the entire course and no refunds are made for any weeks that are missed.
Freestyles and events
Whenever possible you should aim to transfer/sell your space if you are unable to attend and notify Blues Nites of the change by email. There is a full refund for cancellations made up to 14 days prior to the event, less a 10% handling charge.
Hotel based events
We work hard to gender balance all weekend/hotel based events. If you are unable to attend, it is preferable that you sell your gender-specific space (please check with Blues Nites before doing so and make us aware of the change by email). The deposit is non-refundable and all outstanding balances are due 8 weeks before the event (unless otherwise notified). If balances are not paid promptly then the space will be resold. Where payments are made by instalments (eg LanzaBlues), cancellation within 45 days of the departure date will result in the loss of all instalments paid up until that point.
Third Party Services at Events
Some Blues Nites events rely on third party services (eg transport arrangements, dinners and hotel accommodation). These events must be paid for in advance according to the event description. If payment is not received before the due date the space will be released to other customers. These charges are not refundable unless they can be recovered from the third party.
One to one sessions
Since we may have made arrangements for room hire and prearranged travel, one to one sessions require a minimum of 48 hours notice for a cancellation.
We aim where possible to gender balance all Blues Nites events, providing equal opportunity for male and female dancers to attend events and offering the best possible social and dance experience. Equal numbers of male and female tickets are available for all Blues Nites events. For pre-booked events such as retreats and workshops we may need to restrict ticket sales if numbers become unbalanced or where room allocation requires it.
Cancellation by the organiser
In the unlikely event that Blues Nites have to cancel an event, a full refund or the option to transfer to a future event (where possible) will be made.
